Precious Eliza the Teddy Bear wears a dress and raglan cardigan (complete with buttonbands and cables!) that are knitted separately. A cute gift for displaying at home or for a little one, Eliza is machine washable thanks to the acrylic-and-wool blend yarn. (Make sure to use machine-washable stuffing, too!)

NOTES

  • The legs, arms, head, and body of this teddy bear are worked in the round. The head is worked from the back to the front. The ears are worked flat.

  • The dress is worked in the round from the bottom up, then stitches are bound off, and the front is worked flat.

  • The sleeves of the cardigan are worked in the round and then held to be joined to the rest of the sweater, which is worked flat from the bottom up. When the sleeves are joined, the stitches will need to be on multiple double-pointed needles or another circular knitting method, even though it is being worked flat, in order to work the stitches comfortably. Stitches are then picked up for the buttonbands.
