Elma is a lightweight yoked sweater which is knitted with Shetland wool from the bottom up. Before working the colourwork yoke, German short rows are used to raise the back neckline. The underarm stitches are closed by grafting them together. The pattern includes instructions for both the short rows and for grafting.
