Emberlight Sweater
The Emberlight Sweater is a top-down, seamless sweater that embraces the beauty of hand-dyed yarn and its soothing effect on the knitting experience. With its oversized fit, flowing shape, and thoughtful details, this sweater is designed to showcase unique color variations while providing a meditative and enjoyable knit.
The construction begins with a back panel worked flat, shaping the shoulders with gradual increases. The fronts are picked up and shaped separately, then the front is joined together and then it is joined to the back for full yoke. Once the yoke is complete, the sweater is worked in the round, ending with a slit detail at the hem for added movement and drape. The sleeves are picked up and worked top-down in the round, shaped with short rows and subtle decreases for a relaxed fit.
This sweater is perfect for highlighting the depth and richness of hand-dyed yarn, allowing knitters to fully embrace the color therapy aspect of working with beautiful fibers.
