Estonian Butterfly
The triangular main pattern has multiples of the small traditional Butterfly pattern forming a frame. The plain centre has a “pixel” pattern forming a large butterfly. I knitted it the modern way with the edging stitches picked up from the main triangle to be knitted outwards. This shawl has two edgings for a layering effect. The size of the finished shawl is over 160cm at the widest, upper, edge and 85cm tip to top excluding tassels.
It is a shawl for an experienced knitter, but the pattern contains all details required also for a less exerienced knitter.
