Meet Eva, a darling Christmas Elf. Winter is, of course, her favorite time of year. Even though she’s extremely busy preparing for the big day, she loves to curl up by the fireplace on chilly evenings and sip a hot cup of candy cane tea.

She can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through. My Eva is made in worsted weight yarn using 5 colors:

Eva the Christmas Elf is an intermediate-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, slip stitches, increases and decreases, color changes, bobble stitches, working in the top and bottom of a chain stitch, and crocheting in the front loops of a finished piece.
