Evening Skies Vest
This vest features a gradient set used with a coordinating solid color of the same yarn in two lace patterns. I wanted to use the gradient for the lower portion of the vest, working the same lace pattern in each color. I also really liked the idea of using a long narrow piece of garter stitch to lace the front to create a pullover vest. You could also make the tie longer (or use a piece of ribbon), and secure the front opening by tying the ends.
The body is worked flat in one piece from the bottom up, then divided at the armholes. Shoulders are shaped using short-rows, then joined using Three-Needle Bind-Off. The lower edge, front/neck edges and armhole edges are worked in seed stitch.
