Eve’s Leaves is a fun little pattern…Not so much practical underwear as a way to encourage your significant other’s appreciation of your knitting (and look the other way as you bring even more yarn home).

As this pattern is also ideal for a bridal shower/bachelorette party gift, I’ve included approximate hip circumferences by pants size.

The pattern includes instructions for both a simple panty and a thong. The pattern includes four front widths, which can be chosen based on the desired amount of coverage. The waistband is separately worked sideways to fit the wearer’s low hip. Once the two pieces are complete, they are joined together with a ribbon.

The main body of the panty/thong is knit with the smaller size needle, while the larger needle is used for the waistband. If desired, the waistband of the smaller sizes can be worked using the smaller needle. As the length can be adjusted by the number of repeats worked, it is more important that the width of the waistband looks proportional to both the panty and the wearer than it is to achieve a set gauge.

Yarn: One skein of Madelinetosh Pashmina should be sufficient for all sizes. Most sizes will take no more than half a skein.
