The Fairisle Club is a fun, limited edition knitalong which aims to improve your Fairisle knitting technique, whilst creating a beautiful Fairisle project. This is an exclusive club limited to the first 550 members!

The Kilim Throw is a beautiful design inspired by motifs found in antique Persian carpets and antique kilims and carpets from Anatolia (also called Asia Minor and is the peninsula of land that today constitutes the Asian portion of Turkey).

It is knitted in 9 sections, using 22 colours of British Breeds yarn and uses several different knitting techniques - knitting Fairisle flat, picking up stitches, increasing and decreasing stitches. The triangular sections in the Kilim Throw help make the design look like a real kilim carpet!

This design is knitted flat, working Fairisle on the right and the wrong side. Due to the complexity of the design, it cannot be knitted in the round with steeks as it would spoil the finished appearance and handle of the throw. Each section is worked off the other.

Fairisle Club 8 is a complete kit, comprising of all the required British Breeds yarn (51 balls in total), the full printed pattern booklet, a pattern folder and an exclusive Fairisle Club 8 canvas project bag.

The club is supported by instructional videos covering in detail each of the 9 sections that make up the Kilim Throw; these will be released by email updates. As each section and the corresponding videos are released in intervals, you will be able to knitalong with Marie at your own pace referring to the videos when you wish. Only Fairisle Club 8 members will have access to these videos.

Fairisle Club 8 is now sold out!
Fairisle Club patterns are only available to the members.
