This colorful cushion cover is inspired by the artistic universe of Henri Matisse and Fauvist art, combining graphic design and textured crochet techniques.
The motif was created from one of my son’s drawings and reinterpreted through crochet and colorwork. It can also be adapted for other textile creations such as bags or accessories.
The pattern uses waistcoat stitch, a technique that creates a texture similar to knitted stockinette stitch, while allowing graphic colorwork and spiral construction.
