FEATHERLIGHT
The Featherlight infinity cowl imitates the beautiful feathers of the peacock. It is a rectangular lace shawl that ­becomes an infinity cowl when the ends are sewn ­together. The pattern is made for 2-ply wool yarn from the ­Swedish ­company Ullcentrum, but is easy to adapt and works well with any sport weight yarn.

ULLCENTRUM
The Swedish company Ullcentrum was ­established in 1998. It takes care of Swedish wool that would otherwise be thrown away and ­produces yarn and other wool products from it. The yarn is made from different ­Swedish sheep breeds, such as the Gotland sheep. The yarn is available in both natural and dyed ­colors. It comes in several different weights, both spun and unspun and in 1-, 2- and 3-ply. This ­pattern is adapted for 2-ply yarn. To order yarn, check out ­­Ullcentrum.­com.

GAUGE
Approx 15 sts x 24 rows over 10 cm/4” after blocking. A good sized shawl should end up about 40 cm wide and 135-140 cm long.
