While this scarf makes no claims on being an authentic part of the Harry Potter wardrobe, it is a cute and easy to knit scarf made a little warmer by felting the wool.

Before felting, gauge is 4 stitches and 5 rows per inch in stockinette stitch. Gauge is not critical.

Before felting, finished size is 7.5 inches wide by 60 inches long. After felting, it is 6 inches wide and 48 inches long.

This pattern was on About.com (which no longer exists) and has been deleted from their site, but for now it can still be found on the Internet Archive. They redirect and delete pages a lot so you may want to download/print to save.
