k - knit
k2tog - knit 2 sts together
kw - knitwise - insert needle as if to knit
m1 - make 1 st by lifting the bar between the next 2 sts, and knitting into the back of it.
p - purl
pm - place marker
pw - purlwise - insert needle as if to purl

sm - slip marker
ssk - sl1kw, sl1pw, k2 slipped sts together tbl
