Skill Level: Complex

Fenwick Island Shawl pulls the best of the coastal palette into a lace, crescent-shaped shawl. Combining Spanish lace with garter wedges, knitters can focus on the complex areas, then take a break and work in easy garter stitch before embarking on the next lace band. The lace pattern has increases and decreases worked on both the right and wrong side rows, and double decreases worked on wrong side rows. It is best suited for experienced lace knitters. It is worked from the center out and the contemporary edge is finished with a stretchy bind off.
