Materials Needed

  • 5.5 mm (I) crochet hook or hook needed to obtain gauge approximately 150 yds of worsted weight yarn
  • Stitch marker
    Yarn needle

Pattern Notes
The models shown were made using I Love This Yarn acrylic yarn. Good substitutes are Red Heart Super Saver, Vanna’s Choice, and Yarn Bee Low Pill Acrylic yarns.

Special stitch abbreviations:

  1. Front post double crochet (fpdc)
  2. Double crochet 2 together (dc2tog)
  3. Crochet in back loop only (BLO)
  4. Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog)

The pattern, as written, will fit most adults and teens.

Rounds 1-17 are worked in a spiral. Place a stitch marker in the last stitch of the first round and move to the end after each round of the spiral to keep track of your progress.

Pattern is written using American Standard crochet notation.

Gauge:
4 rounds = 2 inches, 6 stitches = 2 inches (approximately)

Final product dimensions:
approximately 8.5 inches from crown to brim, 23 inch circumference around the brim.
