This is a pattern for an ornately twisted scarf. The placement of the stitches gives the scarf a geometric look. It is quite warm as it is knit with light worsted weight yarn, on a slightly than usual gauge. The look is both unique and eye catching. The stitches are twisted on the Right Side only, so if you’re used to twisting stitches, this will not be a difficult pattern for you.
This scarf measures approximately 9 1/2 inches x 68 - 78 inches can and requires approximately 750 - 950 yards.

The twisted stitches are bordered by a garter stitch to hold the scarf flat. If you’d like to reduce the size, reduce the number of garter stitches on each end by 2 - 3 sts.

The stitches are charted both charted and written out.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a very good working knowledge of knitting, purling, and either knowledge of twisting stitches or ability to learn) This shawl can be knit in a single piece,

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. This is the ONLY crochet in the pattern, the optional crocheted border.
