Inspired by the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the beautiful cables on the Fir Bough Hat resemble entwining tree trunks and branches. Even the decreases mimic trees as the “branches” become smaller and smaller near the top.

The hat is worked in the round starting from the 1x1 Rib, brim up. The decreases are worked into the cable pattern.

Cable patterns are written and charted.
