Knitting pattern to create a five pointed star using any weight yarn. This pattern includes some step by step photos to help you create your Star Christmas Tree decoration.

The Star is created by first knitting in the round, then working each point of the star back and forth. Instructions include photographs.

The pretty swirl inside these stars is created by the increases. In each round the increase stitch moves along by one, adding this lovely detail to the simple design.

You will need some pins and spray starch to block your star into shape and add some structure.

Needles:
3.25mm DPN’s or needles for working in the round

Also needed:
Pins for blocking
Spray starch
Tapestry needle

These stars work well in any yarn, the samples are worked in DK weight yarn using oddments form my stash.
The sparkle versions are worked in King Cole, Glitz DK in Champagne.
