Flame Scallop Cardi
A classic cardigan worked in a rich shell pattern with a vertical-ribbed skirt. Work the shell-stitch bodice from side-to-side in a V-st from the Empire waist up then the skirt from the hem to the waist. This sweater is recommended for intermediate level crocheters.
Note: Pattern is only available as a download from Crochet Me. It was featured in the preview for IC Spring 2010, but it is not included as part of the printed magazine.
Yarn Classic Elite Fresco (60% wool, 30% baby alpaca, 10% angora; 164 yd 150 m/1¾ oz 50 g): #5358 tomato, 8, (8, 9, 10, 11) hanks.
Notions
• removable st markers (m);
• yarn needle;
• three ¾“ buttons.
Gauge 24 dc = 4¾” across Row 3 of V-st patt; 8 rows = 4” in V-st patt; 19 sts and 12 rows = 4” in ribbing.
