A stranded fingerless mitt pattern to help use minis and leftovers of sock and fingering yarn! As written, these mitts use 7 different colours of yarn, but less than 20 grams of each one.

I’ve listed my own yarn and KP Stroll as possibilities for suggested yarn, but don’t feel tied to that at all. This is about using what you have. Any fairly solid-coloured fingering-weight yarns will do as long as their fiber contents are similar (i.e. don’t mix a feltable wool with a superwash wool/nylon blend unless you plan to wash things really carefully!)

Approximate quantities needed (these are generous estimates; I used about 40g /180 yards total):
Colour A (Main colour): 20g (90 yds)
Colours B, C, D, E, F: 10g (50 yds) each
Colour G: 5-10g (25-50 yds)

I’ve included partial graphs to show a few different possibilities for colour combinations, including a monochrome one, in case you need inspiration. But of course the fun thing is to pull out all your bits of yarn and some crayons, and try a few variations!

Pattern includes only one size, 7” circumference at knuckles, which will fit a small to medium woman’s hand. You can increase the size by adjusting your gauge or adding a pattern repeat (adding a full pattern repeat of 12 stitches would give you a size of about 8.5” circumference).
