Tea cosy knit sideways using short rows to make the shape in 4ply giving a very snug fit. Easily adapted to different size teapot by experienced knitters. In the pattern the cosy is sewn closed onto the teapot. You could just as well add a button and cord under the handle instead if you want to be able to take it off.

Union Jack lid knitted separately in stranded colourwork and intarsia with bunting around the edge and fabric lining.
