Both the Folk Angel and Folk Bird are knitted as flat pieces following both written instructions and charts and have simple embroidered features. They are knitted in a 4ply (Super Fine, Fingering) pure wool yarn to a tension of 26 sts and 39 rows per 10cm (4 inch). These particular decorations are knitted in a pure Shetland wool yarn, and require 2 x 115m (125 yd)/25 g balls of yarn, and a small amount of a third colour, to complete. But you can use any weight of yarn with these instructions — just make sure you follow the suggested tension on the ball band. Folk Angel and Folk Bird are available together as one PDF.
