You knit Forest Crossing seamlessly from the bottom up to the underarm, then divide the body for the back and two front pieces, which are worked separately. The contrasting colourblocking of the cardigan is created using easy Intarsia. For a beautiful fit, you work short rows at the shoulders and then join them with a 3-needle bind-off. The sleeves are knitted flat from the cuff upward, then attached to the body and seamed using mattress stitch. For the double-knit button band, you pick up stitches along the front edges and neckline, then work the band in double knitting. Finally, the Afterthought pocket adds the perfect finishing touch to this exciting design.
