Fortune Bay
Discontinued.
This digital pattern is no longer available online.
A twist on the classic striped sailor sweater, Fortune Bay is worked seamlessly from the top down, beginning with garter stitch neckband/faux buttonband. Short rows shape the front neck, and stripes flow beautifully from body to sleeves by using a seamless set-in sleeve method.
A bold swath of diagonal stripes breaks the traditional horizontal pattern, using the shadow wrap short row method to create a knit-in slant. Simple garter stitch trim and optional button embellishment add polish to the details of this new version of a wardrobe classic.
