Frilly Granny
This easy pattern puts a frilly spin on the traditional crochet granny square. If you can chain and double crochet, you can make the Frilly Granny.
The pattern is adaptable to any size yarn and hook, to make any size squares you want. Instructions are given for adding the frills as you go, as well as for adding them after you finish the square, if you prefer. Add as many frills as you want!
This is a great pattern for using up odds and ends from your stash, as the frills take very little yarn. Make a blanket or a scarf, whatever you like, from your finished squares.
The pink and lavender blanket pictured has been donated to charity. The white and yellow squares were donated to Yarn-Bombing L.A. for their 2013 project to cover the Craft and Folk Art Museum in Los Angeles with granny squares.
