This shawl combines a simple lace pattern with a slightly different construction that keeps the knitting engaging from beginning to end. The unique construction creates an enjoyable journey as the shawl grows from a center square into graceful wings.

Yarn: Fingering-weight yarn
The sample was worked using six 50 g hand-dyed mini skeins (300 g total) from indie dyer Teri Dow, using 270 g (1,080 meters / 1,181 yards).

Needles: 4 mm (US 6) circular needles
Gauge: 21 sts and 24 rows over 10 cm (4”) in stockinette stitch after light steam blocking.
