Full Cape
Full Cape is the 4th pattern in my New England Village eBook.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Colonial architecture reigned supreme along the eastern seaboard of the US during the early 17th Century to the American Revolutionary War. This design depicts a primitive colonial two-story cape with central door and chimney and two windows on either side of the door. The pattern includes two options for the chimney. The cleaning cloth is worked in mosaic garter stitch, just one strand of color works every two rows. Gauge and dimensions are provided in a light worsted weight yarn. Choose colors that contrast well. Try your camera’s “black & white” setting to look at your yarns in grayscale and check the contrast between your selection(s). The pattern provides full written instructions with (optional) positive and negative charts for making useful household linens and gifts!
