Remember the Care Bears? Each one had a belly badge that displayed their most special characteristic. It was a source of power to them, especially when they teamed up with the others. These socks were named for Funshine Bear, a bear that was pure sunshine and friendliness. These summery shorty socks just felt like they needed a bright sun right on the top of the foot. Knit up a pair in no time and get ready to share some sunshine.

Notes

  • These socks are worked from the toe-up and the heel is turned with short rows.

  • The Instep Chart is designed in a way that the gusset can start at anytime, allowing the length of the foot to be customizable. If you’ve completed the full chart before reaching the desired length of your foot or leg you can rep the chart from the beginning or rep any section of rows, as desired.

  • The heel on this sock uses w&t short-rows in the instructions. You can substitute another type of short-row if preferred.
