Galois Cardigan
A loose, cozy sweater, the Galois Cardigan can be worn myriad ways—layered over a dress for brunch, paired with a blouse at work, or thrown on over your pajamas for a night by the fireplace. The hip length, boxy shape and modern drop-sleeves make it a versatile piece. This cardigan is worked back and forth in pieces and seamed.

Finished Size 22 3/4 (25 1/4, 26 3/4, 29 1/4, 30 3/4, 33 1/4)“ back width at underarm. Cardigan shown measures 22 3/4” on model with 31” bust.
Yarn Kelbourne Woolens Scout (100% wool; 274 yd 251 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #614 Scarlet Heather, 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 6) skeins.
Needles Sizes 3 (3.25 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm). Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Notions Markers (m); cable needle (cn); stitch holders; tapestry needle.
Gauge 21 sts and 31 rows = 4” in St st on larger needles.
