Gannet Hoodie
For $5/month you can get access to a growing library of Kristen TenDyke’s patterns, including this one!
Cables go hand in hand with cozy, and cozy is a cabled hoodie with a big kangaroo pocket. These elements of coziness are combined with our favorite top-down, seamless sweater techniques in the Gannet hoodie.
The hood is shaped from the top down to the neck, where shoulder stitches are cast on and the back pattern is established. Front shoulder stitches are picked up, then sleeve stitches are picked up from the back and front. The yoke is worked with contiguous sleeve shaping to the underarms. Body and sleeves are divided and worked separately. A seamless pocket is worked on the front during the waist shaping. Cable patterns are both written and charted.
