Geometric CAL wants to be an inclusive CAL. This means everybody can join despite their crochet skills. The pattern is great either for mosaic crochet beginners or advanced crocheters. Fun, interaction and creating friendships is all that matters, during the 7 weeks.

We will crochet a cosy blanket using overlay mosaic crochet technique, nice to snuggle under in the coming chill days. But you can make a scarf, a table runner, a cushion, or any other thing you want. It is just a question of playing with patterns and repeats.

Introduction File with all CAL information is already available to download. First part will be launched in 23rd of September (Thursday, around 2 o´clock in the afternoon, UK time).

Pattern is written in English (US Terms) and there is a Spanish version (translation made by Julia Veloso).

This pattern is great to help you reduce your yarn stash so search in all your yarn boxes for nice colours and mixed them all up. The more colorful the better.

Materials for the CAL

In my sample I used a DK yarn and a 4 mm hook. You are free to use whatever yarn and hook you want, and all the colours you want. It is all up to you.

Finishing Size

My blanket ended up with a size of 110 cm x 140 cm (43.3” x 55”), approximately. You can customize the size of your blanket by adding or decreasing repeats of the pattern, but keep in mind that this will affect the amount of yarn required.
