Meet George, a regal eagle who is not beneath a little bit of snuggling.

He can be made in any yarn and hook combination you want. Just be certain that the fabric is firm enough that stuffing does not show through.

My George is made in Vanna’s Choice Solids using three colors:

• Color 1: White (40 yards)
• Color 2: Chocolate (120 Yards)
• Color 3: Duckie (25 Yards)

George is an Intermediate-level pattern. Skills you will need include single crochet, increases, decreases, shell stitch, single crochet into the bottom of a foundation chain, joining new yarn with single crochet, and some seaming. Included is a photo tutorial on how create child-safe eyes from felt, although instructions for using plastic safety eyes are given as well.
