Gerda is worked bottom up using a twisted stitch pattern. The cowl is shaped with decreases making it narrower at the top and is finished with a rolled stockinette edge. A video link is provided for how to work the twisted stitches under special techniques. Written and charted instructions are included.
Size
Circumference at cast on edge: 33 ½” / 85cm
Circumference at bind off edge: 22 ¼”/ 56.5cm
Height: 7 ¾” / 19.5cm (this is with the top edge rolled)
Needles
3.75mm / US 5 circular needle, 24” / 60cm length
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
