Gib I
DETAILS
This sweater is knit from the top down (meaning you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your own personal style!), beginning with the collar. The yoke is adorned with cabled raglans and the allover knit purl texture of the sweater. You will separate the sleeves placing them on hold while the body is finished and then returned to the needle, picking up stitches for the underarm for a totally seamless sweater!
SIZES

FINISHED CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE
While I don’t believe clothing needs to be gender specific, I have received many requests for more of my sweater patterns to have a “mens” version, including broader shoulders, deeper yokes and longer sleeves and bodies. My goal is to include more sizes to fit an even greater range of body types! If you are looking for the “mens” version of this pattern, you can find it here!
32 (35.25, 40, 43.25, 48)(51.25, 56, 59.25, 64)”
81.5 (89.5, 101.5, 110, 122)(130, 142, 150.5, 162.5) cm
Intended to be worn with 2 to 6”/5 to 15 cm of positive ease. To pick your best size, measure your full bust and add or subtract your desired ease, then pick the finished chest circumference closest to that number.
Sample shown in size 3 with 5”/13 cm positive ease on a woman who is 5’5” tall.
YARN REQUIREMENTS
These are just approximations. Total yarn usage will depend on the yarn you use (fiber content, ply, etc.), your personal gauge, and any modifications you may make.
Worsted Weight

SUGGESTED YARN
For this sweater I chose Brooklyn Tweed’s newest yarn base - Imbue. This yarn is made up of 5-plys of worsted spun yarn, which creates a very round yarn perfect for cables and texture!
Brooklyn Tweed - Imbue American Merino Wool (approx. 50 g/104 yds/95 m)
9 (10, 11, 12, 13)(14, 16, 17, 18) skeins in Carbon
SUGGESTED NEEDLES
Main Fabric: US 7/4.5 mm - 32”/80 cm to 40”/100 cm circular and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (such as Magic Loop or DPNs)

(Use the needle size you need to achieve gauge, and size down 2 needle sizes for ribbing.)
