This cabled scarf not only keeps the neck warm, but the head as well, because it also serves as a hat thanks to the added hood. Both modules use the same cable panel with the addition of a couple of different cables. A tassel attached to the hood creates a more playful look, if desired.

The scarf is worked first from one small side to the other in an all-over cable pattern. When the scarf is complete, stitches are picked up in the middle of the scarf to knit on the hood. The hood is worked in rows and then grafted at the top.
