Drawing inspiration from a vintage Swedish cable pattern, the Global Shift Shawl showcases the distinctive offset globe cables that define the Global Shift Collection. This asymmetrical triangle begins at a narrow corner and grows with each row, featuring eye-catching cable panels running along the straight edge. The soft garter stitch base is punctuated by subtle vertical stripes created with slipped stockinette stitches, adding depth and visual interest to the squishy, textured fabric.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The Global Shift Shawl is worked from the narrow tip upward, increasing at the end of every right-side row to form an asymmetrical triangle. As the stitch count grows, two distinct stitch patterns emerge: a cable motif and a combination of garter stitch with slipped stitches. The shawl develops in layered sections beginning with an edging in the garter and slipped stitch pattern, followed by a section in the cable pattern, and then expanding into a larger area of garter and slipped stitches as the shape continues to grow.
