Merrian wanted to create a dramatic effect by combining the different textures of mohair and smoother yarns such as merino 4-ply.

She loves playing with light and experimenting with the silhouettes that motifs can create, especially when joined together in new sequences, and delight at the effect of conjoined corners, where the illusion of a secondary motif is created.

This one motif is used to create three different items.
