Granny’s Hat

This fun hat uses four granny squares and four triangles to form a basic hat. The motifs are joined with a slip stitch before adding length with rows of UK treble crochet / US double crochet.
The pattern has both UK and US instructions and charts.
Fiddlesticks Peppin 8
One ball of each colour. Colours used: 839 Mid Grey, 816 Sky, and 823 Grape
Other Equipment
• 4mm hook (G-6)
• Darning needle
Finished Measurements: 55cm (22”) circumference. 22.5cm (9”) length.
Tension/Gauge
The diagonal of your finished square should measure 12.5cm (5”). The side of the finished square should be 9 cm (3.5”)
In UK tr / US dc, 16 st and 8½ rows to 10cm (4”).
