The Grapevine Wrap features a reversible cable along one side and garter stitch across the rest of the fabric. Short rows are worked in the garter-stitch section to accommodate the difference in row gauge.

NOTES

  • This reversible wrap is worked back and forth in rows from end to end.

  • After completing Rows 6 and 12 of the cable pattern, two short-rows are worked across only the garter section: 16 garter rows correspond to 12 chart rows. These extra short rows are used to adjust for the difference in row gauge between the cable pattern and garter stitch.

  • A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.

  • Slip stitches purlwise with yarn in front.
