“If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute,” pretty much describes the variable climate in the Pacific Northwest with its chilly spring and fall days, gorgeous summers, snow in the mountains in winter, and “liquid sunshine” all year ’round.
Layers are a wardrobe staple in the Northwest and the Grist cardigan fits right in. It can be worn open or closed, as a jacket, as a snuggly interior layer under heavy coat, or thrown over the shoulders for just a bit of warmth.
Textural lace adds a bit of lightness without being too open and the meandering lines bring to mind the winding trails and rivers in the mountains, forests, and valleys. This springy wool yarn is produced entirely in the Pacific Northwest: the Targhee sheep are raised in Eastern Washington and the wool is spun into yarn on Whidbey Island.*
Sizes: To fit women’s extra small (28”-30”), small (30½”-33”), medium (34½”-37½”), large (37”-40½”), curvy/extra large (41”-45”), buxom/2x (44”-48”), and luscious/3x (48”-52”); worn with neutral to negative (0” to -3”) ease.
