Grooving Along Socks
Sometimes, you need a relaxing, straight-forward project to keep your hands occupied. The easy cable and ribbed pattern socks will make it nice and easy to get into a groove as you’re knitting, while still having enough interest to keep you from getting bored. Choose a fun yarn for extra groovy results.
This pattern is cuff-down with a heel-flap and gusset. It is charted.
General Information / Materials:
Sizes: Small, (Medium, Large)
Finished Measurements:
Foot Circumference: 6.5 (7.25, 8) inches, unstretched
This pattern is reasonably stretchy. Choose a size that will give you about 1 inch of negative ease in foot circumference.
Gauge: 9 stitches and 12 rows per 1 inch in stockinette
Needles: US 1 (2.25 mm) or size needed to get gauge
Yarn: Approximately 320 (360, 400) yards of fingering weight sock yarn. The sample, knit in size small, used Invictus Adevnture in the colorway Groovin’.
Other Materials: Cable needle, darning needle
