Gym Sock Beanie Hat
This easy to knit, super versatile and fashion-forward beanie reminds me of a vintage striped gym sock because of its ribs and bands of stripes. It’s knit in the round on circular needles so there’s no additional seaming required at the end.
The hat will fit head sizes from 21” to 24” and is very stretchy due to the yarn used and ribbed design. The height of the hat is about 8” but instructions are included in the pattern if you need to make it longer, particularly if you’re knitting it for someone who has a larger head size.
I used Malabrigo Worsted Merino Wool yarn in the colors Sauterne (yellow) and Ravelry Red. This yarn is very soft, pliable and naturally stretchy. You also get a lot of yarn per skein so you could end up making a couple of hats with just one.
