haiyuki is a raglan yoke sweater worked from the top down and the colors change also from the top down as if snow
falls. The colorwork on this part is worked in stranded knitting. Then the hem is divided into front and back and
worked back and forth. Finally, the sleeves are worked top-down.
’haiyuki / 灰雪’, literally ash-snow, means snowflakes softly falling down as ash. I imagined a snow scene to design this
sweater.

haiyuki はトップダウンのラグランヨークのセーターで, まるで雪が降り, そして積もっていくかのように上から下に向かって色
を変えながら編みます. 裾は前後に分けて往復編みで長さを変えます. 最後に休めていた袖を輪編みします.
’haiyuki / 灰雪’ とは灰のようにちらちらと降る雪のことだそうです. 静かに降る雪を思い浮かべてこのパターンを作りました.
