I designed this pumpkin tea cosy pattern in 2011 for Cosy Tea.
The idea was to create something for Halloween that was simple enough for beginners and a quick-knit for more experienced knitters.
The tea cosy is easy to knit and can be finished in just a few hours. With instructions to work in the round or work flat and sew up later, it uses just knit and purl stitches before decreasing for the top. The stalk is then created afterwards and stuffed with a little toy stuffing (or extra yarn if you don’t have any). It makes a fun addition to the table in Autumn and Winter.
