You can’t get more classic than a basket weave stitch. There are so many great things about this stitch! First, it’s unisex, perfect for gifting to anyone. Second, it’s a great next step for beginner crocheters. Once you’ve mastered the double crochet stitch, post stitches are the perfect next step! Third, the high texture gives this bag such a classic, complex look while being simple to make. Lastly, the dense texture lends itself especially well to a bag pattern.
