Little hearts spiral their way around the body of this hat – perfect for Valentine’s Day when worked in red and white. This textured hat works up quickly in a super bulky yarn, with just enough slouch to be comfy but not too heavy. Even though it looks like a stranded pattern, you only work with one color at a time.

The stitch is a modified version of the fluffy brioche stitch found Barbara G Walker’s A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, (Schoolhouse Press, 1998).
