notes
a. This hat is worked from the bottom up in the round, and features a brioche stitch brim.
b. As the brioche stitch is fairly stretchy, we recommend casting-on using the larger circ, then switching to the smaller circ for the brioche brim.
c. The cable stitch pattern has a more contracted stitch gauge than the brioche stitch used in the brim. We recommend swatching for both stitch patterns.
d. There is an increase round following the completion of the brim, so that the brim and main hat measure the same circumference.
e. All cable stitch patterns for hat and crown shaping are charted and read from right to left.
