Helsinki Sweater
HELSINKI SWEATER
Helsinki Sweater is a super light and airy sweater pattern in sizes XS til 5XL, knit in the softest yarn.
The sweater is equally perfect for a cosy Sunday, a day at the
office or a festive occasion. It’s knit in the round top down and in one piece, which leaves very few ends to weave in, we love! :-)
It’s also a very easy knit and a perfect knitting project for beginners. The patterns starts with the neck, which is knit as half-twisted rib, followed by airy knit and purl rounds and raglan increases (KYOK).
The sleeves and the body are finished with half-twisted rib and
Italian bind off.
I hope you will enjoy your #helsinkisweater as
much as I have enjoyed knitting it!
SIZES
The pattern comes in sizes XS to 5XL and with the following chest measurements:
XS - 86 cm
S - 90 cm
M - 96 cm
L - 106 cm
XL - 113 cm
2XL - 130 cm
3XL - 133 cm
4XL - 140 cm
5XL - 143 cm
As the sweater is knit top down, it can easily be adjusted in length to your preferences.
MATERIALS NEEDED
I have knit this sweater in two different colourways; both with 2 strands of 1 ply kidmohair from Mohair by Canard (350 m/50 g) and 2 strands of hand dyed silkmohair from By Emra (420 m /50 g). Her yarns are not listed on Ravelry.
Depending on size you will need between:
150 g of 1 ply and 150 g of silkmohair for size XS.
Up to
400 g of 1 ply and 350 g of silkmohair for size 5XL.
You can easily replace any of the yarn bases with others as long as your gauge is 12 sts / 22 rows on 10 x 10 cm.
