This newsboy style cap features a simple cable on a reverse stocking stitch ground. It is knitted in one piece starting with the brim which uses short row shaping to give a neat finish and minimise sewing. The main part of the cap is knit in the round. Stabilizer (stiffening or very heavy interfacing) is enclosed in the brim and sewn in place. A pattern is included for the stabilizer, as well as instructions for the optional crochet button and ribbon interfacing. Three sizes are included in the pattern with notes for adjustments. Both written instructions and a chart is provided for the cables and both US & UK crochet instructions are included for the optional button.
