When I heard Lion Brand was going to re-launch Heartland Thick & Quick yarn in a line of new, nature inspired colors, I knew I wanted to play with color combinations. Select four of your favorite shades and watch as the hidden colors of the reverse side peek through. Fisherman’s rib is a very bouncy and stretchy stitch pattern with lots of give (I don’t recommend it for a home with pets as it snags easily).

NEEDLES: US 11 (8.00 mm) 36” circular knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge)

YARN: Super Bulky Weight - 1,488 yds (1,368 m)

(D) Lion Brand Heartland® Thick & Quick® - 100% acrylic, 124 yds 3 skeins. Color used in sample: Pelham Bay 146AQ

NOTIONS: Large eye darning needle, scissors

FINISHED SIZE

Approximately 47.5” x 42” when lying flat, unstretched

GAUGE
4” x 4” / 10 cm x 10 cm: 8.5 sts x 20 rows in fisherman’s rib repeating pattern, unstretched.
A note on gauge: Fisherman’s rib stretches a TON which means measuring you gauge to ensure sufficient yardage / appropriate knitting needle size is important.*
