Let’s Hoot ‘n hollar!

4 complex cables meet a unique slip stitch ribbing to make the owl in Hootenanny. Worked in Anzula Cricket (sport weight MCN) with a larger gauge than usual give this hat drape and the ability to cross large cables easily.

Knitting note: Keep an eye on your gauge, purl a swatch in the round if you need to. Many knitters purl tighter than they knit and that will lead directly to a too-tight hat. At gauge in the suggested yarn this hat will fit both large and small heads really well, provided the CO isn’t too tight. The drape comes from the loose gauge for a sport to DK weight yarn, knitting it in a worsted will result in stiffer fabric with less drape.
